We were pondering a way to quickly fill in a large area of missing concrete and get the area back in service some years ago.  We considered most every Belzona product but they all had cure times and overcoat windows and nothing cost effective was going to be quick enough.  Then we had a bright idea of mixing the Belzona 4151 (Magma Resins) with washed and dried pea gravel and whoala, we had our cost-effective solution.

The first time we did this it wasn’t very quick at all.  First, we had to send our sample to a testing lab to make sure the formula could take the compression strength for our application.  That took a week. Then we had to figure out a way to mix a lot of this material in short order.  You have to be thoughtful when using two-part epoxies as you don’t want the material setting up before you have it installed properly.  We finally settled on cement mixers…six of them. And, 3 people for each mixer.

This particular application was for a paper mill, we were rebuilding some acid tanks in 2000 (which are still operating).  But then we started looking for other uses for this cheap and effective concrete filler and we came up with concrete bridges.  The pits and holes can be bulk filled with this material and then top-coated with a quarter inch of Belzona 4111 (Magma Quartz).

We can help you repair the damage to your infrastructure.
